Licence to Cook training is coming to an end. The team has so far trained nearly 3,000 maintained secondary schools in England, and some final free events are now available for those schools who have not yet been able to attend, until the end of the autumn term 2010.
The goal of the Licence to Cook training is to
-
Inform delegates about the background and aims of the Licence to Cook programme in relation to the wider context of food education;
-
Give delegates technical training on how to use the online resources;
-
Provide guidance on how to move forward with Licence to Cook back at school and incorporate the programme into current schemes of work;
-
Provide an opportunity for teachers to meet as a group to network and share information about what is happening in their local area.
Once trained, teachers will be issued with a unique login for their school to access the programme through the Licence to Cook online resources. Schools can use these materials flexibly, either to enhance established schemes of work, or to provide full support where curriculum plans are not yet in place.

What if I have been trained in Licence to Cook and am moving to a school which has not been trained? If you have been trained in Licence to Cook we would appreciate you taking that training in to your new school. Let us know the details of where you have moved from and your new post, and we will supply your new school with a Licence to Cook login. Remember, your login details related to your school, not you, so you can't take them with you.
